Gantries
The Isocentric Gantries
The isocentric gantry is a large rotating steel structure that supports the beam delivery system and its related components. The gantry supports the bending and focusing magnets, vacuum system, and all equipment necessary for controlling and monitoring patient treatment.

This complex structure is over
35 feet tall and weighs approx. 90 tons.

The gantry targets the proton beam at tumors by allowing complete 360 degree rotation about the patient. This allows for multiple angles (or portals) to be used during patient treatment.
